We would like to invite you to visit with us on February 7th for our first ever DoodleFactory new release blog hop!  

What's this all about?

Irene thought it would be fun to put the design team to work creating some super cool brand new projects with our brand new release!  And since this release is a whole lot different than what we have done in the past we thought we should do something special to mark its arrival into the stamp world! We are so excited to see what you think of it and we really CAN'T WAIT to show it to you. 

So what you need to do is stop back here on February 7th (after 11am EST) and you will find a list of our designers blogs.  Start at the first name on the list and visit her blog to see her fun new release project(s) she will give you the link to the next designer's blog and you can pop in over there to see the next great project and so on and so forth down the list it will go! 

You are going to want to visit all the blogs because one of them will be giving you some information on some delicious blog candy.   

What is it?  Well... you will just have to wait and see!  So mark your calendar, save the date, stick up a post it, or write it on your hand but do whatever you have to do to be here on February 7th for our first new release BLOG HOP!!

News!

Well, we are only 10 little days into this new year and it has already brought about lots of news! We have to say farewell to three of our designers Sam Morris, Valorie Wibbens and Rose Ann Reynolds. Their beautiful and inspiring cards will be greatly missed, but we wish all the best for them in the future.

We have had several new releases just issued with several more on the way. We are sponsoring 3 different challenge blogs in the coming weeks (Stamp Something, Card Positioning Systems, and 2Sketchs4you) We also have an exciting blog hop in the works with a very different new release on the way!

But most importantly we have the pleasure of adding three new enthusiastic people to our design team.

It is my honor to tell you that guest designers Lydia Fiedler and Lori Tecler have joined our design team on a full time basis and we are excited to be able to bring in a new fresh talent Kathy Daume' from http://kathy-prettyinink.blogspot.com/ who has also accepted a position on our team. You have seen Lydia and Lori's cards in the gallery from time to time and we are thrilled they will be more frequently sharing their clever and creative cards with us!

We are so pleased to present the newest additions to our DoodleFactory family.... VALENTINE REMIX ~ SWEETS N HEARTS ~ SWEET ON YOU AND VALENTINE SENTIMENTS!

Valentine ReMix might look a little bit familiar to you guys. The Original DF valentines set (still available) has characters of a smaller stature. So for those of you who already have the original set fear not, these new fellows will still coordinate with the original set! Irene and I decided that we really wanted full sized larger characters to match the rest of the Doodle population. But we didn't want to just release the same images in a larger size so Irene doodled us up some new versions of last years favorites.

Challenge, "Clear"ly Cool Cards!

Before we get to the challenge details... I wanted to thank you all for the comments about our missing cards! They were very nice to read and although our cards have not been returned we do appreciate the support!

So on to a new challenge...

We are overdue for a new challenge, I know the holidays are fast approaching but I want to sneak in one more challenge before we close out 2008 and before we say goodbye to our current holiday special

As you might know two of our Designers (Donna D. and Donna B. AKA "The Donnas") host a (semi) weekly challenge in our group at Paper Craft Planet. http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/starvingartistamps

This weeks challenge is to design an incredibly cool CLEAR card.

Here are the details for those of you who wish to take a break from the holiday rush, get a little "me" time and make a fun card!

This weeks challenge is to make a clear card using acetate or transparency.
The theme is open to however you wish to interpret it.
It will be your choice as to what size and shape your card is.
As long as it contains a clear element it counts!

*Cards do not need to contain SA or DF images in them but... all cards using our images will be posted in our gallery. www.starvingartistampsgallery.blogspot.com

Everyone who participates will get entered into a drawing for a Santa's Sweet Shoppe set with matching Sweet Shoppe sentiments.
(Dont worry, if you really need to get your hands on a set you can get one now or if you already have one if you are the winner we will subsitute for other stamps of equal value!)
